Our Story: From Small Beginnings to Regional Leader

Take Ten Lube & Car Wash was founded in 1987 as a modest 2-bay quick lube and single-bay car wash in Ponca City, Oklahoma. In 1990, we expanded our capabilities by adding a 3-bay repair shop behind the quick lube. Then in 1994, responding to growing customer demand, we added a 3-bay tire shop to better serve our community’s automotive needs.

The original owners operated the business with dedication until 1998, when Jeff & Lorrie Webster purchased Take Ten and brought their vision of exceptional customer service to life. Today, as we enter the company’s 36th year in business and the Websters’ 25th year of ownership, Take Ten has evolved into Take Ten Tire & Service—a comprehensive automotive care provider serving both personal and commercial customers across Central Oklahoma and beyond.

2007: Expanding Commercial Tire Services

In April 2007, we significantly expanded our commercial tire offerings by adding two mobile tire service trucks. As a result, we can now provide on-site tire service for commercial, farm, and construction equipment of all sizes—from small forklifts and skid-steers to massive tractors, combines, and heavy earth-moving equipment. This expansion allowed us to better serve Oklahoma’s vital agricultural and construction industries.

Continued Growth in Ponca City

As Ponca City continued to grow, so did we! We added four more service bays equipped with state-of-the-art alignment and diagnostic equipment. Consequently, our auto service department now covers all of your vehicle’s repair and maintenance needs—whether you need routine transmission service or require a complete engine rebuild. Furthermore, our service department offers comprehensive solutions including brake service, tune-ups, diagnostic services, A/C and heater repair, shock and strut replacement, transmission overhaul, motor replacement, and all other major and minor automotive repairs.

2019: Expanding to Tulsa

In 2019, we took a leap of faith and expanded beyond Ponca City, opening our first commercial tire shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Tulsa location offers 24-hour roadside assistance and carries an extensive inventory of specialized tires—from construction and farm equipment to over-the-road (OTR) commercial tires.

2020: Opening in Oklahoma City

Tulsa welcomed the Take Ten experience with overwhelming enthusiasm! Therefore, in 2020, we expanded again by opening another full-service Take Ten Tire & Service location in Oklahoma City. This strategic expansion brought our commitment to quality tire service and auto repair to even more Oklahoma families and businesses throughout the metro area.

2024: Growing Beyond Oklahoma

In 2024, we took another significant leap forward by expanding beyond Oklahoma to Fort Smith with a brand-new Take Ten location focused specifically on industrial tire services. This expansion allows us to serve the industrial and manufacturing sectors throughout the Midwest region with the same level of expertise and dedication our Oklahoma customers have come to expect.
